Roses

Since I love roses, old roses especially, this page will be dedicated to the ones in my garden and those in other gardens that I'll have the privilege to enjoy. More photos will follow soon.

Below are some of the blooms from last spring. Right now the garden is bleak and sad-looking, as it's the middle of winter. But come spring, fresh photos will certainly follow.

The roses below are mostly old, with two exceptions which will be noted. They are of course some of my favourites. Oh, I might mention that there are around 120 different cultivars in my garden...

Souvenir du Docteur Jamain (Hybrid Perpetual)

 Mme Ernest Calvat (Bourbon)

Honorine de Brabant (Bourbon)

The apricot blend colour in the back is Mme Edouard Herriot (hybrid tea climber), in the front there is Crepuscule (Noisette) to the left and Schneeschirm (a modern floribunda) to the right

Papa Meilland  (a modern Hybrid Tea rose)

Mme Pierre Oger (Bourbon), also the one chosen as my profile pic

Pierre de Ronsard (modern climber - a very popular rose)
